Eezee Tee Reveals What He Calls The Dark Reality Of The Gospel Music Industry

Nigerian gospel music producer Eezee Tee has stirred conversations after speaking candidly about what he described as the troubling realities within the gospel music industry.

According to reports, the music executive shared his views in a post on his Instagram page, alleging that the industry is plagued by hypocrisy, deception, denial, pretence, and excessive religiosity, which he believes often conceals the true state of affairs behind the scenes.

Eezee Tee argued that the contemporary gospel music landscape has become more focused on performances and emotional displays than genuine spiritual guidance. He further claimed that many individuals who publicly condemn the secular music industry are fully aware of similar challenges existing within gospel music circles.

Drawing from his experience in both the gospel and secular music industries, the producer said he has witnessed disturbing practices that remain largely unknown to the public. He maintained that speaking out against misconduct within the industry often comes at a personal cost, alleging that those who challenge wrongdoing are frequently ostracised and targeted.

In his words, the gospel music industry is “darker than what you think,” adding that it is “clothed in hypocrisy, lies, denials, pretence, and deep religion,” making it difficult for many people to see beyond the surface. He further asserted that the industry is “more performance-based than spirit-led” and driven more by emotion than spirituality.

Eezee Tee concluded by expressing concern over what he described as widespread wrongdoing within the sector, while praying for divine intervention, saying, “May Jesus help us.”
