In a recent turn of events that has set tongues wagging, Lucky Imasuen, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, made a stunning appearance at the Edo South Senatorial District party caucus. The visit, a key highlight in Imasuen’s ongoing governorship nomination campaign, unfolded at the residence of H.E Dr. Pius Egberanmwen Odubu, and the atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation.
Imasuen, accompanied by Enigies, palace chiefs, and influential party figures from across the senatorial district, made a splashy entrance, creating a buzz with fanfare and pageantry that mirrored the significance of the moment.
During his compelling speech, Imasuen, known for his eloquence, peacemaking skills, and commitment to good governance, made lofty promises. He pledged to foster unity within the party, emphasizing his dedication to consulting party leadership at all times. Imasuen also vowed to bring governance back to the people and leverage the state’s abundant resources for the common good.
Confident in his electoral prowess, Imasuen highlighted his strong rapport with the numerous ‘Okaegheles’ across various communities in the senatorial district. He drew strength from the party’s past successes under Adams Oshiomhole, the goodwill of the people, and, above all, the grace of the almighty God.
The spotlight, however, turned to H.E Dr. Pius Odubu, the esteemed leader of the Edo South senatorial party caucus, who could hardly contain his excitement. Odubu showered praises on Imasuen, emphasizing the profound takeaways from each conversation with the gubernatorial aspirant.
He reassured that the party leadership, having attentively listened to Imasuen’s vision, would take the necessary steps to produce a formidable candidate capable of weathering the storm leading up to the September 21, 2024, gubernatorial election in the state.
As Lucky Imasuen’s campaign trail continues to capture the imagination of Edo South, the political landscape is alight with the promise of a dynamic and impactful candidacy, making waves in the party caucus and beyond.
