Actress Anjorin Reveals How Depression Pushed Her Towards A Man
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Rashidat Anjorin, widely known as Indomie, has opened up about a difficult chapter in her life marked by loneliness, emotional distress and depression.
Speaking during a recent podcast interview, the actress recounted how prolonged isolation negatively affected her mental well-being, pushing her into one of the darkest periods of her life.
According to media reports, Anjorin revealed that the emotional burden she carried at the time led her to act in ways that were unusual for her, including taking the initiative to express interest in a man. She explained that the loneliness became overwhelming and left her struggling to cope with her emotions.
The actress disclosed that she once disappeared for several days while battling severe depression, describing the period as one in which she felt hopeless and deeply troubled.
Reflecting on the importance of human connection, Anjorin stressed that companionship plays a vital role in people’s lives, noting that emotional support is just as important as financial success. She emphasized that having dependable people around can make a significant difference during difficult moments.
The filmmaker also expressed gratitude to notable industry figures, including Funke Akindele, Taiwo Adebayo, Sodiq Adebayo and Blackman, acknowledging their support and contributions to her professional growth and career development.
