Burna Boy, Wizkid, Ayra Starr Storm Grammy Race With 2026 Submissions

According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian global music icons Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Ayra Starr have officially submitted their works for consideration in the prestigious 2026 Grammy Awards.

Burna Boy entered his latest project, No Sign of Weakness, for both Album of the Year and Best Global Album. His smash hits Last Last and For My Hand were submitted in the Record of the Year and Song of the Year categories, while Love was listed under Best African Music Performance.

Wizkid also filed entries with his acclaimed album Morayo in the Album of the Year and Best Global Album categories. His single Piece of My Heart was submitted for Record of the Year and Song of the Year, while his collaboration with Ayra Starr, Gimme Dat, was entered for Best African Music Performance.

Ayra Starr, who has continued to solidify her place as one of Africa’s fastest-rising stars, submitted her track Hot Body for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. She also appears alongside Wizkid in the Best African Music Performance category with their joint effort Gimme Dat.

The entries heighten anticipation ahead of the official nominee list for the 2026 Grammy Awards, with many industry watchers predicting that the Nigerian stars will once again dominate the global stage and further cement Africa’s influence in the world of music.
