Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has directed all political appointees in his administration who are yet to register with the All Progressives Congress (APC) to do so immediately as part of early preparations for the 2027 general elections.

According to Ireporter Online, the governor issued the directive on Saturday during an interactive session with elected and appointed officials held at the Coronation Hall in the Government House, Kano.

Governor Yusuf emphasized that all individuals serving in his government are expected to be registered members of the ruling party and actively contribute to strengthening its structure across the state. He stressed that political office holders have a dual responsibility of executing government duties while also supporting party mobilization at the grassroots level.

He further declared that his administration is fully committed to ensuring the success of the APC in the 2027 elections, adding that efforts would be intensified to secure victory for President Bola Tinubu’s second-term ambition as well as wins across all electoral positions, including presidential, governorship, National Assembly, State House of Assembly, and local government polls.

Reiterating his stance, the governor warned that participation in party activities was mandatory for all appointees, stating that those yet to register with the APC must do so without delay as part of broader efforts to consolidate the party’s strength ahead of the polls.
