Dollar To Naira Exchange Rate Today, June 28, 2026 Update
According to IReporter Online, the black market exchange rate for the United States dollar to the Nigerian naira continued to reflect ongoing fluctuations in the foreign exchange space on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Findings from Bureau De Change operators in the Lagos parallel market revealed that the dollar was traded at a selling rate of ₦1,400 and a buying rate of ₦1,385, highlighting the persistent gap between buying and selling prices in the unofficial forex market.
Market participants noted that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognize transactions conducted in the parallel market, advising individuals seeking foreign exchange to conduct their transactions through licensed financial institutions.
Meanwhile, official figures from the CBN indicated that the dollar traded within a lower band, with rates recorded between ₦1,376 and ₦1,385, underscoring the disparity between official and parallel market valuations.
Traders also cautioned that exchange rates may vary across different locations and dealers, depending on market demand, liquidity, and prevailing economic conditions at the time of transaction.
