Kano Police Arrest Well-Known Female TikToker

Kano State Hisbah Board apprehended Murja Ibrahim Kunya, a well-known female TikToker, on Monday for purported immorality. Aliyu Usman, the chairman of Operation ‘Kai da badala’ and the Officer-in-charge of Surveillance, confirmed the arrest to Daily Trust.

Usman stated that Kunya was apprehended at her residence in the Tinshama area after several hours of waiting. She is scheduled to be arraigned before a Shari’ah Court sitting at PRP on Tuesday.

According to Usman, Kunya is being charged with engaging in immoral acts, a behavior she is widely recognized for. He elaborated that she is frequently picked up by an individual around 10 pm and returned by 12 midnight or 1 am.

In a separate development, the Osun State Police Command issued a stern warning against criminal activities within the state while parading several suspects apprehended for various offenses on Monday.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Hope Okafor, disclosed that the suspects were detained on charges ranging from armed robbery to conspiracy and cultism.

Among the offenses recounted by Okafor, a group of eight armed robbers raided a family in Erin-Ijesa, seizing electronics, bags of dry cocoa beans, a Toyota Highlander Jeep, and personal belongings. Seyi Ojo and Kamorudeen Quadri were arrested in connection with the crime, leading to the apprehension of six other suspects.

Additionally, Adejumo Boluwatife, Adisa Lateef, Gbolahan Oladipupo, and Adeagbo Musibau were paraded for their involvement in an illegal organization that terrorized residents of Osogbo, Idi-Omo.

Furthermore, Temitope Oke, Wasiu Hammed, Olamilekan Yusuff, and Julius Wuraola were presented as members of an interstate vehicle theft group, often disguising themselves as mechanics to steal cars.
