Lamine Yamal Crowned LaLiga Player Of The Season

Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has been named the 2025/26 LaLiga Player of the Season after an outstanding campaign that played a pivotal role in the club’s successful title-winning run.

The prestigious individual honour was announced on June 5, with the young Spanish international receiving widespread acclaim for his exceptional performances throughout the season. The recognition further highlights Yamal’s rapid rise in world football and his growing influence at the Catalan club.

Under the guidance of coach Hansi Flick, the 18-year-old enjoyed the most productive league season of his career, registering 16 goals and 11 assists as Barcelona clinched the Spanish top-flight title. His consistent displays, marked by creativity, flair, and attacking efficiency, made him one of the standout performers in the league.

Club officials praised the teenager’s impact, noting that his ability to combine dribbling skills, goal-scoring prowess, and playmaking qualities made him a decisive figure in Barcelona’s success. Throughout the campaign, Yamal consistently troubled opposition defences with his pace, technical brilliance, and ability to create scoring opportunities.

The award caps a remarkable season for the forward, whose 16 league goals represented a personal best. His scoring exploits also earned him a share of the Zarra Trophy alongside teammate Ferran Torres.

Barcelona’s dominance during the season was further reflected in other individual accolades, with Hansi Flick receiving the Coach of the Season award, while goalkeeper Joan Garcia was recognised with the Save of the Season prize.

Yamal’s triumph also ensures that Barcelona players have claimed LaLiga’s top individual honour in consecutive seasons, following Raphinha, who secured the award during the previous campaign.
