Lafia, Nasarawa State – The Minister of Regional Development, Hon. Engr. Abubakar Momoh FNSE, on Tuesday joined stakeholders at the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) Policy Review Workshop held at the Ta’al Conference Hotel, Lafia.

Before the opening ceremony, Minister Momoh, alongside the Minister of State, H.E. Uba Maigari Ahmadu, and the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Mary Ogbe, paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, who later declared the workshop open on behalf of Governor Abdullahi Sule.

In his remarks, Momoh stressed the synergy between the board and management of the Commission, describing it as a strong foundation for take-off. He highlighted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive that development must reach every community, not just urban centres, and described the roadmap as “a moment of renewal.”

The Minister commended the Commission’s commitment so far but emphasized that implementation remains the key to success. He called for collaboration among state governments, stakeholders, the private sector, and local communities to deliver the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Goodwill messages also came from the Minister of State, the Permanent Secretary, National Assembly members, and international partners, including the SPRING Programme of the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
