The Coordinator South-South Coalition For Good Leadership, SSCGL, Comrade Omoruyi Vincent Osayande popularly known as Emma on Monday visited the campaign office of APC frontline chairmanship aspirant, Mallam Saliu Mustapha in Benin City.

The visit, according to Osayande was to draw attention to the aspiration of the Turaki of Ilorin who happens to be the youngest aspirant in the race for the APC chairmanship.

Osayande who spoke glowingly about the aspiration of Mallam Saliu Mustapha commended his bold initiative in seeking the office saying with Mallam Saliu Mustapha as APC national chairman Nigeria would indeed get it right.

“We are indeed captivated by this noble gesture of Mallam Saliu Mustapha in seeking for the office of the APC national chairman, we believe that with his leadership the party can be able to present the idea leaders across the federation for elective offices.

We are confident that once the political parties in Nigeria present the best candidates for elective positions then the country would be set for a great rebirth.

We know his antecedents, his leadership profile and we attest to the fact that if given the opportunity to man the affairs of the APC then the expectations of Nigerians would be met. We also commend his resilience and maturity in the way he’s going about his aspiration.

The sole purpose of the SSCGL is centred around promoting good leadership across party affiliations and as well as encouraging political leaders in meeting up to the expectations of the electorates.”

Speaking further the coordinator thanked Saliu Mustapha for opening an outreach centre in Benin City, saying it goes a long way in displaying the detribalized nature of the Turaki of Ilorin.

Taking a tour of the facility Comrade Osayande lauded the idea of having a skills acquisition facility within the office complex and prayed that Almighty God would see him through his political sojourn as the SSCGL  would do everything humanly possible to galvanize massive support for his aspiration.

Responding to the surprise visit an administrative aide who was at hand to receive the South-South youth leader appreciated the visit saying it goes a long way to show that the legacies of Mallam Saliu Mustapha are indeed valued by the populace.

“Today we are honoured that a renowned South-South youth leader paid us a surprise visit, it only goes to show that the world is indeed following our progress”.

SSCGL is a strong group of South-South leaders that has its membership scattered across the 6 States of the South-South with its members cut across various political parties.
