‘The Most Greedy People In Nigeria Are Domicile In APC’ – Peter Obi

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has revealed the best way to combat corruption. When asked how he would deal with the issue of corruption, the former governor of Anambra state stated this in an interview.

Obi stated that corruption has been a major issue for opposition parties, as they frequently portray their parties and candidates as not corrupt. Buhari, according to Peter Obi, is not corrupt in Nigerian terms, but his personal integrity does not translate to the All Progressives Congress (APC) integrity.

The LP flagbearer stated that greed is a key ingredient in corruption, and the most greedy people in Nigeria are APC members.

He added that personal acquisition and appointment of family members in various major positions in government offices are other ingredients of corruption, and that the best way to combat corruption is through institutionalizing governance processes.

Meanwhile, the APC in Sokoto State has gained momentum ahead of the 2023 general elections as more citizens from various opposition camps join the party.

According to a party statement issued on Friday, it received new defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) today.

According to the APC, the politicians came from the Gwadabawa, Illela, and Goronyo Local Government Areas in the state’s eastern zone. Bashar Abubakar, Special Assistant to Sen.

Aliyu Wamakko (APC-Sokoto North), the state APC leader, confirmed to newsmen that the defectors include former councillors and other stakeholders from the state’s eastern zone.
