Former PDP Chairman, Financial Secretary Dump Party

The New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has continued to benefit from its success in Gombe State, with the addition of two prominent PDP stalwarts in Funakaye and Dukku Local Government Areas.

These most recent entrants into the NNPP are Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed Kari Bajoga, former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Funakaye LGA, and Bakari Umaru Bawa, Financial Secretary of the party in Dukku LGA, who joined the party with hundreds of their supporters after obtaining NNPP membership cards.

The Funakaye LGA party Chairman, Bello Mamuda, welcomed Mohammed Kari Bajoga into the NNPP and presented him with a membership card.

Kari Bajoga stated that he joined the Party because the ruling APC and PDP have lost their way, and that the NNPP is the party to beat in 2023.

In his words: “I joined the NNPP because both the APC and PDP have clearly demonstrated that they’ve lost their bearing in the State and their candidates aren’t sellable to the people of the state.

“With the calibre of people joining the NNPP and the appealing character and outstanding records of its candidate, Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki, NNPP is a Party to beat in 2023”.

Bakari Umaru was welcomed into the Party by its gubernatorial candidate, Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki, at his Gombe residence.

Umaru was the party’s financial secretary in Dukku Local Government Area before defecting, making him the PDP’s second official from the same local government to join the NNPP.

The Dukku local government PDP women leader, Asabe Saleh had last November joined the NNPP in the state.
