According to Ireporter Online, actress and media personality Nancy Isime has sparked conversation after suggesting that genuine love for children could, in some situations, mean choosing not to have them due to the harsh realities of life.

She made the remarks during a recent appearance on the Thanks For Coming podcast, where she was asked about her plans regarding the number of children she would like to have.

Isime, however, declined to state a specific number and instead reflected on broader life experiences and everyday struggles faced by many people.

She questioned whether bringing children into the world always equates to an act of love, pointing to the difficulties and suffering many individuals endure daily. She further asked whether people have ever felt overwhelmed by life or wished they were not born due to hardship.

“Are you not suffering today? Have you not seen me today? Is Earth not ghetto? Are you not going through a lot? Don’t you wish some days that you were not born?” she said during the conversation.

Despite her comments, the actress clarified that she has not ruled out the possibility of having children in the future. She added that suffering is a universal human experience and suggested that children, like everyone else, would inevitably face their own challenges in life.

“No. Everybody has to suffer. They’ll come and suffer their own. They’re not gonna escape it,” she added.
