According to Ireporter Online, controversial Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has sparked fresh debate after insisting that a “real man” should never cry over a woman.

In a post shared on his X handle, Edochie described such emotional expression as unwise, arguing that it signals weakness and defeat in the eyes of women.

He further stated that women do not respect men they perceive as “losers,” advising men whose partners walk away to wish them well and instead focus on self-development and personal growth.

The actor maintained that men should prioritise becoming the “best and greatest version” of themselves, adding that success and self-improvement naturally attract more women.

According to him, men who constantly show emotional distress over relationships risk reinforcing a negative perception of themselves.

“If you keep crying for a woman, you’re confirming to her and to other women that you’re a loser. Women hate losers,” he wrote.
