Nollywood actress Tayo Odueke, popularly known as Sikiratu Sindodo, has opened up about a serious health ordeal that left her in a coma and reportedly gave her a 50/50 chance of survival.

According to Ireporter Online, the Yoruba actress shared the details of her experience during an interview with Oyinmomo TV, recalling how what initially appeared to be malaria or typhoid developed into a prolonged and life-threatening illness.

Sindodo said her condition deteriorated despite receiving treatment, forcing her to visit several hospitals over a period of months.

“I was sick like someone who had malaria. Malaria/typhoid, that was it, and that was how it started gradually. From one hospital to another,” she recalled.

The actress said the situation eventually became so severe that she slipped into a coma and doctors gave her family a 50/50 chance of survival. She added that her mother was even advised to leave the hospital during the difficult period.

“I can’t remember how long it lasted. I think it lasted for months because I was in a coma and was given a 50/50 chance. My mum was even told to go home,” she said.

Reflecting on the experience, Sindodo became emotional as she spoke about the difficulties she faced and expressed gratitude for her recovery. She attributed her survival to her faith and the prayers offered during the period.

“God answered a lot of prayers in my life. God has been faithful because I don’t want to be emotional,” she said.
