Portable Breaks Silence After Release From Prison
Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, a controversial hip hop artist, believes to have learned his lesson.
Portable made the remarks shortly after being released from the Ilaro Prison in Ogun State on Monday.
A magistrate’s court in Ifo, Ogun state’s Ifo Local Government Area, granted him bail but remanded him pending the completion of the bail conditions.

The Zazoo singer appeared in court on a five-count charge that included assault and stealing.
He had been detained since Friday as a result of a petition signed by one Osimusi Emmanuel.
Portable appeared in court on Monday and pleaded not guilty to all of the charges leveled against him.
Portable’s lawyer, Adodo Destiny, had asked the court to release the singer on bail.
In his ruling on his counsel’s application for bail, Magistrate A.S Soneye stated that the offenses are bailable and granted him bail with a bail bond of N300,000 and two sureties who must reside within the jurisdiction of the honorable court.
However, the court ordered that the defendant be transferred to the Ilaro correctional facility until his bail requirements were met.
The case was postponed until April 26th for the start of the trial.
In a now widely circulated video after his release, the singer, while in the midst of his loved ones in a car, said: “Akoi grace. I have learnt a lesson. I have learnt a real lesson.”
