In a heartfelt interview with blogger Kachiwire, Aloba reminisced about the strong bond he shared with his son, emphasizing their close friendship and shared experiences.

Mohbad’s untimely demise on September 12, 2023, sparked widespread speculation and accusations, particularly directed at individuals associated with his former record label, Marlian Records, including its founder Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, and associate Sam Larry. Both parties denied any involvement and were subsequently released on bail following their arrest.

Subsequent attention focused on a nurse alleged to have administered fatal injections to Mohbad, with suspicions mounting against her as the primary suspect in his death.

Responding to demands for clarity surrounding Mohbad’s passing, Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun ordered a comprehensive forensic examination. The Lagos State Police Command formed a specialized team, including a pathologist, tasked with exhuming and analyzing Mohbad’s remains.

In a recent update, the Lagos Coroner Court revealed ongoing autopsy procedures, with crucial toxicology tests being conducted abroad, particularly in the United States, to determine internal factors contributing to Mohbad’s death.

During the widely circulated interview, Aloba shared poignant memories of his son and explained his decision to wear Mohbad’s clothes, stating, “He is my son. I can wear his clothes. We are the same size.” He recounted a touching moment when Mohbad bought him shoes for an engagement ceremony, expressing their shared bond and mutual respect.

Aloba reiterated his focus on seeking justice for Mohbad and dismissed speculation surrounding his son’s passing, emphasizing their unwavering familial bond despite external scrutiny.
