Baseless And Malicious PDP Govs Reject Court Case Claims To Compel NEC Gathering

In a statement issued by Dr. Emmanuel Agbo, Director General of the PDP-GF, the forum condemned the reports as “false and malicious.” The statement emphasized that neither Governor Bala Mohammed nor any proxy acting on his behalf had any involvement in such legal proceedings.

This clarification follows reports suggesting that individuals linked to the Bauchi Governor sought an interim court order to compel the PDP to hold its NEC meeting. The court, however, denied the request.

Dr. Agbo reassured supporters and the public to disregard these “dubious and damaging” allegations, which aim to tarnish Governor Mohammed’s image. The statement also reiterated the party’s call for members involved in lawsuits against the PDP to withdraw them in favor of reconciliation.

In related news, the Federal High Court in Abuja recently issued an injunction preventing the removal of Acting National Chairman Amb. Umar Damagum until December 2025, following a case brought by members from Yobe State, Damagum’s home state.
