Governor Uba Sani, who pledged support for the released individuals, assured them of opportunities to reintegrate into society, emphasizing empowerment initiatives for those who engage in lawful and responsible behavior. The governor’s plan includes offering start-up capital for some protesters to begin trading, skills training for others, and potential employment opportunities. However, Meyere stated that their activities would be monitored to ensure good conduct before these benefits are granted. The state government has taken down the contact information and next of kin details for easy tracking.

Following their release, the detainees underwent medical examinations and psycho-social counseling, with both Islamic and Christian leaders advising them to embrace their faiths and avoid negative influences. Each released protester received a phone, as their previous ones were confiscated during detention, and was given N100,000 as a gesture of goodwill.

Kaduna’s Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development, Hajiya Rabi Salisu, also addressed the group, emphasizing the government’s commitment to their well-being. She urged them to act as ambassadors of peace and refrain from engaging in unlawful protests.
