Insurance Commission (NAICOM) and the NPF, formalized during a recent meeting held at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

During the meeting, NAICOM’s Commissioner for Insurance and CEO, Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, paid a visit to Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, to discuss the pressing need for effective enforcement of compulsory motor insurance policies.

Omosehin acknowledged the IGP’s recent strides, especially in acquiring a license for the newly established Police Insurance Company. He emphasized the necessity of enforcing Third Party Motor Insurance to safeguard lives and properties across Nigeria.

The IGP echoed these sentiments, stressing that only about 30% of vehicles in Nigeria currently have insurance coverage. He urged motorists to comply with the law and obtain at least a third-party insurance policy before driving.

The CFI also outlined plans for a nationwide awareness campaign and training sessions for police officers to ensure a smooth implementation of this policy.
