According to iReporter Online, the stern warning was issued by Ahmed Mustapha, a prominent ADC chieftain in Kaduna State, who accused El-Rufai of engaging in backdoor schemes to infiltrate and dominate the party.

Mustapha warned the former governor to immediately desist from any form of manipulation or interference aimed at taking over the party.

He alleged that since El-Rufai’s entry into the ADC, he has been forging “subversive alliances” and engaging in “illegitimate political manoeuvres” designed to fracture the party’s internal unity.

According to iReporter Online, Mustapha stressed that the Kaduna State Chapter of the ADC would not allow itself to be used as a pawn by any political figure seeking personal gain.

“We will not be a willing tool in the hands of anyone,” he stated, “nor will we tolerate interests that aim to compromise our shared vision.”

Further fueling the controversy, Mustapha accused the former governor of colluding with members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to sow discord within the ADC’s coalition ranks—an action he described as dangerous and unacceptable.

While reiterating the party’s openness to all Nigerians, Mustapha firmly stated that the destructive politics typical of Nigeria’s old parties has no place in the ADC.
According to iReporter Online, he urged El-Rufai to honor the party’s democratic principles, respect internal processes, and halt any activities capable of destabilizing the party from within.
