Popular Yoruba Actor Akin Olaiya Reveals Marriage Crash
According to Ireporter Online, popular Yoruba actor Akin Olaiya has confirmed the dissolution of his marriage to his wife, Nafeesat Feenah Hammed, less than a year after their wedding ceremony.
The actor disclosed this in a formal statement, explaining that the decision followed unsuccessful attempts to resolve ongoing differences between them.
Olaiya noted that the couple tied the knot on June 29, 2025, at the Central Mosque in Sabo, Mokola, Ibadan, in the presence of family members and well-wishers.
He explained that the crisis in the marriage began shortly after their wedding, following preparations to attend an event in Lagos. According to him, his wife later expressed disinterest in attending the outing.
The actor further alleged that before he returned home that day, Nafeesat had already packed her belongings and left their matrimonial home without prior notice or communication.
Olaiya stated that he made several efforts to salvage the marriage, including reaching out to his wife and engaging members of her family in reconciliation talks. However, he claimed all efforts proved unsuccessful as she reportedly declined to return or continue the relationship.
In his final statement, the actor declared that the marriage had officially ended and that Nafeesat was no longer his wife.
