Chelsea Star Estevao Ruled Out Against Newcastle Due To Muscle Injury

According to Ireporter Online, Chelsea will be without young Brazilian forward Estevao for their upcoming Premier League clash with Newcastle United after manager Enzo Maresca confirmed the player is sidelined with a muscle injury.

The 18-year-old attacker, who has made a notable impact at Stamford Bridge with five goals and one assist in 21 appearances, was introduced as a second-half substitute against Everton but did not feature in the squad that defeated Cardiff City 3-1 in the Carabao Cup quarter-final on Tuesday.

Maresca addressed Estevao’s absence following the win over Cardiff, stating, “It’s a small problem, a muscle problem. He won’t be available for Newcastle. We will see for the next one.”

Chelsea’s victory in the Carabao Cup saw a rotated lineup secure a semi-final berth. Substitute Alejandro Garnacho opened the scoring before Cardiff’s David Turnbull equalized. Later, Pedro Neto and Garnacho combined to complete a 3-1 triumph, ensuring Chelsea’s progression in the tournament.
