According to Ireporter Online, the veteran actor made the revelation during an interview on OYINMOMO TV, where he detailed the aftermath of the crash and the unexpected support he received from the nation’s First Family.

Balogun disclosed that immediately after learning about his condition, the President and his wife reportedly directed that arrangements be made to fly him abroad for advanced medical care. He explained that although he eventually received adequate and successful treatment within Nigeria, the concern and urgency demonstrated by the couple deeply touched him.

The filmmaker said he was taken aback by the gesture and sought clarification from the First Lady over her decision to go to such lengths on his behalf. According to him, she responded by describing him as a “star given by God” whose light must not be allowed to fade.

Balogun noted that her words profoundly reshaped his outlook on life, compassion, and responsibility toward others. He said the experience taught him a lasting lesson about kindness and the spiritual value of caring for people beyond one’s immediate family.
