  • Eastern Nigeria: ₦955 per litre

MRS announced the changes via their official X (formerly Twitter) handle, stating:

MRS Oil is one of the approved partners authorized to distribute petroleum products from Dangote Refinery.

On February 1, Dangote Refinery announced an ex-depot petrol price cut from ₦950 to ₦890 per litre.

Dangote’s spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, explained:

“This reduction aligns with global trends in energy markets and the recent decline in international crude oil prices. We believe this price cut will lead to lower petrol costs nationwide, driving down the cost of goods, services, and living expenses across various sectors.”

The refinery urged marketers to reflect these price reductions in their sales to consumers. It was also noted that the ₦890/litre ex-depot rate applies to marketers purchasing a minimum of 2 million litres and above.
