Fire Breaks Out At Christ Apostolic Church In Ibadan

The blaze, which occurred around 9:30 PM on Olohunda Road in the Lagelu Local Government Area, was confirmed by local sources on Saturday morning.
According to eyewitnesses, some attendees had fallen asleep in preparation for the vigil when the fire broke out. One onlooker mentioned, “Some people had already dozed off when the flames began.”
Another witness described the chaotic scene inside the church, recounting, “An elderly woman who could barely walk was still inside while the fire was raging.”
The Oyo State Fire Services swiftly responded after receiving an alert from a nearby resident.
Akinyemi Akinyinka, the General Manager of the fire agency, confirmed the incident, stating that the cause of the fire is still unknown as of now. Efforts are currently underway to assess the full extent of the damage and any potential casualties.
