Imposter Alert: 52-Year-Old Man Arrested For Posing As Sergeant On Busy Highway

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 52-year-old man, Harry Collins, for impersonating a police officer while wearing a full police uniform with a sergeant rank.

According to CSP Omolola Odutola, the command’s spokesperson, Collins was apprehended on February 20, 2025, around 2:10 pm during a patrol by the Deputy Commissioner of Police on the Long Bridge of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway..…….READ MORE 

The officers became suspicious of Collins’ presence and immediately detained him.

Odutola stated, “Upon interrogation, Collins could not provide a valid explanation for impersonating a police officer, raising further concerns about his activities. Investigations are ongoing to determine his motives and any potential criminal connections. The suspect will be charged in court after the investigation. The Ogun State Police Command urges the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious individuals posing as police officers.”
