MC Fish Reveals What Led To The Breakdown Of His Marriage With Anita Joseph
Nigerian entertainer and hype man, Fisayo Michael, popularly known as MC Fish, has opened up about the collapse of his marriage to actress Anita Joseph, stressing that people should not view marriage as an intimidating institution despite his personal experience.
Speaking during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, MC Fish described marriage as a journey of growth and learning, likening it to progressing through different levels of education where individuals acquire valuable lessons and experiences along the way.
According to reports, the nightlife entrepreneur explained that his marriage eventually ended due to irreconcilable differences, noting that both parties reached a point where they could no longer resolve their issues. He disclosed that the relationship had stopped functioning in a healthy manner and was gradually becoming toxic.
MC Fish said he made the difficult decision to leave the union in order to protect his peace of mind and prevent further complications for everyone involved. He maintained that ending the marriage was necessary after realizing that continuing the relationship would only worsen the situation.
Reflecting on the experience, the entertainer stated that he does not regard the failed marriage as a negative chapter in his life. Rather, he sees it as part of life’s journey, where people encounter both successes and setbacks that contribute to personal growth.
He also emphasized that he still holds his former wife in high regard and harbours no resentment towards her despite their separation. Addressing public criticism, MC Fish dismissed claims that he sought to benefit from Anita Joseph’s fame, insisting that he fulfilled his responsibilities as a husband and had long established his own career in the nightlife industry.
The entertainer further noted that he has spent over 16 years building his reputation in the nightlife business, working consistently throughout that period and earning his livelihood independently.
