Nigerian Army Defeated: Bandit Leader Bello Turji Seizes Military Equipment (Video)

Footage has surfaced online showing notorious bandit leader Bello Turji and his gang celebrating after successfully capturing a Nigerian Army Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) and a significant amount of ammunition. The incident was confirmed by ZagaZola Makama, a counterinsurgency and security expert in the Lake Chad region.

According to Makama, the Nigerian Army had received intelligence about a high-level meeting of bandits within Turji’s camp. A team of soldiers, led by a young officer, was dispatched to the location. However, the operation ran into trouble when the soldiers’ vehicle became stuck in the marshy terrain, halting their advance.

Makama reported that the troops were met with heavy gunfire from the bandits, sparking an intense gun battle that lasted several hours. Unfortunately, heavy rainfall prevented air support from arriving in time, allowing the bandits to fortify their position.

The soldiers attempted to use another Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle to extract the stuck APC, but it also got mired in the mud. Despite reinforcements being sent to assist, the situation became too overwhelming, and the soldiers were forced to withdraw, leaving the vehicles behind. Thankfully, no fatalities were reported among the troops.

Hours later, Bello Turji and his gang returned to the scene, celebrating their victory by firing shots into the air and boasting about their success in dislodging the soldiers and capturing the vehicles.

As of now, the Nigerian Army has not yet confirmed the incident.
