Peter Obi Visits Benue To Commiserate With Flood Victims (PHOTOS)
The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi on Thursday visited Benue State to commiserate with flood victims.
Speaking in Makurdi, the state capital, Mr Obi tasked the federal government to be proactive in mitigating the effects of the nationwide floods caused by the failure to prepare for the release of excess water from the Cameroon’s and the heavily silted River Benue.

The former Anambra State governor had earlier announced the suspension of his campaign to allow him show support to victims of flood disaster, and he appealed to other presidential candidates to do same.

While in Benue, the LP Flagbearer visited displaced persons both from the flood disaster and victims of herdsmen attacks camped in Daudu, and there he donated the sum of five million Naira to assist them.
