Monarchs from the South East region of Nigeria have reiterated their commitment to fostering peace and security within their communities. This renewed call comes in response to the escalating tensions and security challenges that have plagued the area in recent months.
During a recent meeting held at the Enugu palace, traditional leaders emphasized the crucial role they play in promoting harmony among their people. They recognized that peace is essential for development, stability, and the overall well-being of the region.
The monarchs expressed their deep concern over the rising incidents of violence, kidnappings, and communal clashes that have disrupted the lives of many residents. They urged all stakeholders, including government officials, security agencies, and the general public, to join hands in creating a peaceful environment.
“We must work together to restore peace in our land,” said one prominent monarch, stressing the importance of dialogue and understanding among different ethnic groups. The traditional rulers also highlighted the need for effective security measures to protect their communities and ensure the safety of all citizens.
As custodians of culture and tradition, the monarchs called on their subjects to embrace peaceful coexistence and reject violence. They encouraged community members to report suspicious activities to the authorities and cooperate with security personnel in maintaining law and order.
the South East monarchs are united in their vision for a peaceful and secure region. Their call to action serves as a reminder of the importance of collaboration and collective responsibility in overcoming the challenges that threaten the stability of their communities.
