This Is Your Final Term” — APC Chieftain Warns Senator Abaribe

According to Ireporter Online, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has launched a scathing attack on the Senator representing Abia South Senatorial District, Enyinnaya Abaribe, accusing him of backing violent activities in the South East.

In a strongly worded statement shared via his official Facebook page, Igbokwe alleged that Senator Abaribe has, over the years, maintained links with groups responsible for insecurity in the region. He described the lawmaker as an ethnic partisan and accused him of enabling actions that have contributed to unrest and loss of lives across several South East communities.

Igbokwe further claimed that Abaribe has remained largely silent amid prolonged violence in the region, despite the destruction of towns and villages and the deaths of numerous residents over the years. He argued that such silence amounted to complicity and questioned the senator’s moral authority to continue representing the people.

The APC chieftain also issued a political warning, asserting that Abaribe’s current term would be his final one in the National Assembly. He insisted that the senator would not secure a return to the Senate in 2027, alleging that public anger over past events would work against his ambition.

Igbokwe concluded by urging Nigerians, particularly those in the South East, to take note of his claims and remain vigilant, stressing that political leadership must not be built on the suffering of the people.
