Akpabio, Wamakko, Others Upbeat On Tinubu’s Victory At Poll
All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has continued to get more endorsements and support from across Nigeria and beyond.
Former Akwa Ibom State governor and erstwhile Niger Delta Affairs Minister Godswill Akpabio; former Sokoto State governor and APC leader in the state, Senator Aliyu Wamakko; and the National Chairman/Coordinator of Team Prosper, Shehu Bankole-Hameed promised to ensure the victory of the APC flag bearer and other candidates of the party in this year’s general election.
Akpabio predicted that Asiwaju Tinubu succeed President Muhammadu Buhari this year.
The former minister, who is also the National Vice Chairman APC Presidential Campaign Council, stated this when he hosted APC chieftains, candidates and leadership of the party from all the wards, local governments and the state at his Ukana country home in Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
Addressing his guests who rejoiced with him for the New Year, Akpabio assured them that with their support and commitment, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the next President of Nigeria”.
The former governor urged them to work and campaign vigorously throughout the state for the success of the party in the forthcoming presidential, National Assembly, governorship and State Assembly elections.
“The APC-CDC is 100 per cent committed to the Tinubu/Shettima ticket and would be supporting the Diaspora Directorate to deliver on its mandate in ensuring the mobilisation of resources – both human and material – from the Diaspora towards the realisation of the Tinubu/Shettima aspiration.
“The APC-CDC has donated campaign materials and souvenirs already while promising to do more in Year 2023 to support the Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign,” Babarinde said.
ANIM, under the leadership of Abubakar Sadiq-Fakai, held a solidarity rally for Asiwaju Tinubu; Kebbi State APC governorship candidate, Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) and other candidates of the party in the state.
The well attended solidarity walk started from Haliru Abdu Stadium in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, and terminated at the APC main campaign secretariat.
Sadiq-Fakai said the essence of the rally was to show support for APC in the forthcoming general election at all levels.
He recalled that a similar rally took place prior to the 2015 general election and it yielded results, hence the need to repeat same in 2023.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Mr. Yahaya Sarki, urged people to vote massively for APC candidates to show appreciation to the party for the dividends of democracy the state is enjoying.
Sarki, who is also the Publicity Chairman of APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in the state, said the state was supporting Asiwaju Tinubu to become the next President and Idris to become the governor this year.
The Acting Chairman of APC Youths in the state, Alhaji Nasiru Magaji, recalled that in 2015, the Northwest enjoyed the support of the Southwest by electing Muhammadu Buhari as President, hence the need for the Northwest to reciprocate the gesture.
