JUST IN: APC Suspends Campaign Rally, Gives Strong Reason
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State has suspended its campaign rally in the state in honour of 16 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporters who died in an auto crash on Saturday.
The victims were returning to Jos, the state capital, after attending a rally in the state’s Pankshin local government area, when their truck crashed in the Panyam community of Mangu LGA around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Nentawe Yilwatda, the APC governorship candidate in the state, announced the decision in a statement on Sunday, saying the campaign tour would be halted for three days to allow him and party members to join the PDP and victims’ families in mourning.
Earlier on Sunday, Yilwatda and the APC governorship campaign council paid a visit to the victims at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH).
