JUST IN: Candidate For February 25 Election, Killed (PHOTO)

Oyibo Chukwu, the Labour Party (LP) candidate for Enugu East Senatorial District, was assassinated. Oyibo, a lawyer, was allegedly attacked on his way back from a campaign trip in the Agbani area.

According to reports, he was burned inside his vehicle, and three people were believed to be in the vehicle with him. However, it was unclear how many of the occupants were killed.

The details of the attack were still sketchy. However, a party source, who asked not to be named, confirmed the incident.

It was also gathered that the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the state, Uche Nnaji, was attacked near where Oyibo was killed.
