Bayo Onanuga — Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy has called on Christians to demonstrate the exemplary life of Jesus Christ, tenaciously imbibing his virtues by God’s love to the world in John 3:16.  

Onanuga in a Christmas message made available to newsmen in Abuja, reflected that the Birth of Jesus Christ brought a refreshing dawn of renewed hope to humanity. 

Describing Christ as an epitome of love, tolerance, and peace, Onanuga maintained that this yuletide season for his government comes with a Special Presidential Intervention with zero cost on rail transport commuters this holiday season and 50% discounts on road travelers.

Onanuga engraved that “In commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, President Tinubu says the Federal Government will bear  50% of the transport fares for interstate road travelers during Christmas and New Year. The government is executing discounted fares with luxury bus operators on 22 routes.

“Train rides will be free. The policy takes effect from 21 December and ends 4 January 2024,” Onanuga stated.

Reflecting the exemplary posture of Christ, Bayo compelled the converts “not to disregard that the significance of Christ’s birth, was to bring peace, and good tidings to mankind. So as Christians let us be agents of peace, love, and tolerance.

“Christmas is a season not only for rejoicing but a reflection of Christ-love to Humanity. He added that “Christmas tells us that peace, tolerance, love, and selflessness are the hallmarks exhibited by Christ himself, ” Onanuga revealed. 

Amidst the momentous merriment and twinkling light of this festive period, The Special Adviser wishes the Christians peace and joy as they celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ. Onanuga, however, charged them to maximize the Special Presidential Intervention.

“As you observe the birth of our savior, remember the reason for the season and let it not emigrate from your heart. 

“I urged you, therefore, to take advantage of the Special Presidential Intervention for road and rail commuters, compassionately carved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to aid humanity. Wish you a ton of joy and peace this season.”
