8 Lawmakers In Kano Sh*ckingly Dump NNPP For APC In Major Defection Twist
Eight members of the House of Representatives from Kano State have formally defected from the New Nigeria Peoples Party to the All Progressives Congress, marking a significant political shift in the state’s legislative landscape.
According to Ireporter Online, the defections were officially announced on Tuesday during plenary, which was presided over by the Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas. The lawmakers, in separate letters addressed to the House, attributed their decision to unresolved internal crises within their former party.
The development attracted the presence of key political figures, including the Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, and former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, among others.
Further details are expected to emerge.
