Adegboyega Denies Deportation Claims, Admits Immigration Oversight

In a recent interview with the BBC, Adegboyega clarified that there is currently no deportation order against him, despite reports claiming that an immigration tribunal has ruled in favor of his removal from the UK.

Having arrived in the UK in 2005 at the age of 25 on a visitor’s visa, the pastor acknowledged that he has overstayed but asserted that it was unintentional.

“I lost track of time,” he said, explaining that he had delayed nearly a decade in applying to regularize his immigration status, believing his family was taking care of the necessary paperwork.

The controversy surrounding him has been exacerbated by allegations linking Adegboyega to a £1.87 million fraud involving the misuse of church funds. The pastor, however, vehemently denied these claims, attributing them to “disgruntled members” of his congregation. “How can anyone run an organization without a few disgruntled individuals?” he questioned during the interview.

Additionally, Adegboyega highlighted the positive contributions of his church in addressing social issues within the UK. “Our church has worked to remove hundreds of knives from the streets and combat gun violence,” he stated, showcasing SPAC Nation’s community outreach initiatives.

In response to criticism of his extravagant lifestyle, often characterized by luxury fashion, the charismatic preacher noted that his attire is deliberate. “I choose to wear what is appropriate and resonates with the generation I’m addressing, as a way to steer them away from drug dealers,” he explained.

While confirming that the legal battle over his immigration status is ongoing, Adegboyega made it clear, “There is no deportation order, just to set the record straight,” as he continues to strive for his right to remain in the UK.
