Atiku Blasts FG Over Borno Attack: Warns Against Turning North-East Into Terrorism HubIn a powerful rebuke, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has condemned the recent bomb attack in Borno State and cautioned the Federal Government against allowing the North-East to become a stronghold of terrorism.

Atiku, a former Vice-President, expressed his concerns in a post on his verified Facebook page on Sunday, urging the current administration to step up its efforts and address the deteriorating security situation.

“It is deeply troubling to witness the resurgence and spread of terrorism in the North-East,” Atiku stated. “The reported attacks by suicide bombers at a wedding reception, a funeral procession, and a hospital on Saturday are deplorable.”

He criticized the government’s lack of decisive action, stating, “The significant progress made by our security forces is being undermined due to the government’s inadequate response to maintain control on the frontlines.”

Atiku emphasized the need for immediate and effective measures, saying, “It is crucial for federal authorities to fulfill their duties and prevent the North-East from reverting to a state of extreme violence and terrorism.”

He also extended his condolences to the families affected by these tragic events, adding, “I pray for the peaceful repose of the souls of the departed.”

As the nation grapples with this renewed wave of violence, Atiku’s call to action serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need for enhanced security measures to protect the lives and safety of citizens in the North-East.
