Mr P Shares Inspiring Story Behind His Hit Single “I Can’t Look Away

According to Ireporter Online, singer and choreographer Mr P has disclosed how he revisited the creative blueprint of the defunct P-Square group in the making of his trending hit single, “I Can’t Look Away.”

The music star, whose latest release continues to spark widespread attention and conversations among fans, said he deliberately reconnected with key collaborators who played significant roles during the P-Square era in a bid to recreate the magic that defined the duo’s success.

Speaking during a radio interview with media personality Steve Onu, popularly known as Yaw, Mr P revealed that he brought back members of the original creative team behind several of P-Square’s biggest hits, including Foster Zeeno, whom he described as instrumental to the group’s earlier successes.

He noted that the move was aimed at ensuring the delivery of a high-quality project capable of appealing to diverse audiences across different markets.

Mr P also disclosed that he recently entered into a five-year international recording deal, which includes plans to release three albums, stressing that he is committed to meeting expectations placed on him by his partners.

Meanwhile, the new single has continued to gain traction, even earning praise from award-winning artist Davido, who described it as a “fire banger” on social media platform X.

Since its release, “I Can’t Look Away” has enjoyed increasing popularity, with many listeners commending its nostalgic sound, which echoes the style that propelled P-Square to continental and global prominence.
