Why I’m Backing Tinubu – Adeleke Reveals
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has thrown his weight behind President Bola Tinubu, urging Nigerians to allow the President more time to implement his administration’s policies and deliver on its reform agenda.
According to Ireporter Online, Adeleke made the remarks during an interview with Western Spring TV, where he explained that his support for Tinubu is rooted in the principle of political equity and the long-standing belief that power should rotate fairly between the Northern and Southern regions of the country.
The governor maintained that the informal arrangement promoting regional balance in the nation’s leadership should be respected, stressing that the South deserves to complete its turn at the helm of affairs.
Adeleke further argued that a single four-year tenure may not be sufficient for the President to fully accomplish the objectives of his administration, noting that the ongoing reforms require additional time to mature and produce meaningful results for Nigerians.
Speaking on federal allocations, the governor commended the President for ensuring the release of funds to state governments, saying the responsibility now rests with individual states to prudently manage and utilize the resources, particularly amid prevailing economic challenges.
He emphasized that his support for Tinubu is also influenced by the President’s connection to Osun State, reiterating his appeal for Nigerians to exercise patience as the administration continues to pursue its development agenda and implement reforms across the country.
