According to Ireporter Online, Nollywood actress Toyin Adewale has recounted the emotional moment she witnessed her son, singer Mayorkun, begin his journey in the music industry under the mentorship of Afrobeats star Davido and his record label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW).

Speaking during an interview with Biola Bayo, the actress revealed that she broke down in tears when she first saw her son working closely with Davido and his team. She explained that she was present the day Davido personally reached out to Mayorkun, an experience she described as overwhelming and life-changing for her son.

She further disclosed that Davido invited Mayorkun to the studio the following day, a session which eventually produced the breakout hit song “Eleko,” marking the beginning of Mayorkun’s rise to fame.

Toyin Adewale described her first interaction with Davido and his crew as warm and respectful, noting that they treated her with kindness and affection, even addressing her as “Mummy.” She also reflected on Mayorkun’s early passion for music and poetry, stating that his talent had always been evident long before his big break.

Expressing gratitude, she prayed for continued success for both her son and Davido’s team, while appreciating the role they played in shaping his career.
