It Was Just Longer Throat’ — Jide Kosoko Reacts To Ritual Claims

Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has dismissed long-standing allegations linking him to the death of his late wife, insisting he had no involvement in the incident and describing the claims as baseless and deeply hurtful.

According to Ireporter Online, the actor addressed the long-running accusations during an interview with FeelRightNews TV, where he expressed disappointment over claims made against him without evidence.

Kosoko questioned why some individuals would spread such serious allegations without proof, maintaining that he never harmed his late wife or had any connection to her death.

The respected actor challenged those making the accusations to provide evidence, stressing that the claims had caused unnecessary pain and damaged his reputation over the years.

Speaking about his personal life, Kosoko revealed that becoming a polygamous husband was not part of his original plan, explaining that certain circumstances influenced his decision to marry another wife. He, however, acknowledged that his current wife has been supportive and caring.

He said the decision was not driven by his initial intentions but by circumstances, while praising his wife for being a good partner.

Jide Kosoko has been married to several women at different points in his life, including Ganiyat Kosoko, Henrietta Kosoko and Karimat (Kareemat) Kosoko.

His first wife, Ganiyat, was a businesswoman who worked with the Nigerian Customs Service, and their union produced children, including Nollywood actresses Sola Kosoko and Bidemi Kosoko.

His late wife, Henrietta Kosoko, was also an actress and a member of the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP). She passed away in 2016 at the age of 53.

Kosoko remains married to Karimat (Kareemat) Kosoko, who has continued to stand by him following the loss of some of his former wives.
