Ebonyi Unveils Talent Hunt With N10m Grand Prize

A new entertainment reality programme, Ebonyi Next Superstar, has been launched in Ebonyi State to identify, nurture and promote emerging talents in music and digital content creation, with participants competing for a total prize pool of N10 million.

According to Ireporter Online, the initiative was unveiled during a press conference held in Abakaliki by talent manager and movie director Steve Rodstick Eze. The event attracted prominent figures from the entertainment industry, marketing sector and media, who described the project as a significant step toward empowering young people and strengthening the state’s creative industry.

Speaking at the unveiling, Eze explained that the competition is designed to discover more than just talented individuals, noting that contestants would also be assessed on their creativity, discipline, confidence, stage presence and overall potential to become successful entertainers.

He stressed that possessing talent alone would not guarantee success in the competition, adding that the organisers are searching for individuals who embody the qualities of true superstars through originality, composure, exposure and exceptional performance.

Eze disclosed that the maiden edition of the reality show would focus exclusively on music and digital content creation, describing both fields as major contributors to the growing digital economy and important avenues for youth employment and self-reliance.

He further revealed that the competition would run for 20 days, featuring 10 selected contestants who would participate in a series of creative challenges, including original music production, freestyle performances and content creation tasks.

The organiser also announced that participation in the talent hunt would be free of charge, explaining that the initiative is intended as a platform to give back to society by creating opportunities for aspiring creatives to showcase their abilities and gain exposure within the entertainment industry.
