According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian socialite and businessman Pretty Mike, whose real name is Mike Nwogu, has spoken about the motivation behind his widely discussed dramatic entrances at celebrity gatherings and public events.

The nightlife personality, known for arriving with choreographed dancers, unconventional outfits, and highly theatrical displays, said his public appearances are deliberately crafted as a form of entertainment and performance art rather than acts meant to provoke negativity.

Speaking in an interview on Echo Room, Pretty Mike noted that he is always aware of the mixed reactions his stunts generate even before executing them, adding that while some moments earn praise and go viral positively, others attract criticism. He explained that over time, he has conditioned himself to remain unaffected by online backlash or public opinion.

He further stated that he has developed a resilient mindset, stressing that social media outrage is often temporary and fades quickly as public attention shifts elsewhere. According to him, he now views his actions strictly as creative expression, emphasizing that there are no rigid limits to what he invests in his stunts as long as they serve entertainment purposes.

Pretty Mike also revealed that many of his ideas come spontaneously, noting that he does not always rely on a structured creative team. He likened his expenditures on such performances to how others spend on travel or leisure, saying he simply channels his resources into creating unique experiences.

He was quoted as saying he sees his work as part of “the business,” adding that he mentally prepares for either positive or negative reactions before carrying out any stunt, while maintaining that he no longer allows criticism to affect him emotionally.
