INEC Declares Winner Of Nasarawa Governorship Election
Governor Abdullahi Sule was declared the winner of the Nasarawa State governorship election on Monday.
Professor Tanko Ishaya, the Returning Officer for the governorship election, declared that Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) received 347,209 votes, beating his closest competitor, David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 283,016 votes.
However, the PDP expressed dissatisfaction with the results, stating that it would seek redress in court, while the APC stated that it would also challenge the PDP-won local government areas.
