Missing UK-based Nigerian Found Dead After Four Weeks
Taiwo Balogun, a Nigerian living in the United Kingdom, was discovered dead in a lake in Kent on Thursday, December 1, 2022.
Balogun from Crayford was last seen four weeks ago near her home in southeast London.
According to the Daily Mail UK, her body was discovered in a lake at Bluewater Shopping Centre in the search for a “vulnerable” missing mother who went missing four weeks ago from her home in London.
The Met Police said on Monday that a woman’s body was discovered in a lake in Kent, but that her death was not being treated as suspicious despite the fact that it was unexpected.
The force tweeted: “A woman’s body was recovered from a lake near Bluewater Shopping Centre on Friday, December 30. While formal identification awaits, Taiwo Balogun’s family has been informed.
“Her death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious. Our thoughts are with Taiwo’s family.”
Balogun was last seen at the Lottery stand inside a shop on Crayford Road in Dartford at around 2:27pm on the day she went missing, according to CCTV footage.
