No  Time To Play Tribal Or Religious Politics – Sokoto Bizman Makes Case For Peter Obi Ahead Of 2023 Presidential Elections

“This is not the time to engage in tribal or religious politics. We must work together to secure this country; we must scrutinize all candidates and exclude any ethnic or religious emotion from the presidential elections in 2023. ”

Those were the exact words of Shehu Usman, a Sokoto State native and business mogul who promised to mobilise his family and community behind Peter Obi’s presidential quest in 2023. He argues that his faith and ethnicity will not be an impediment because all he wants is a better Nigeria where merit reigns supreme.

When asked who he would vote for in the 2023 presidential elections, Usman said Nigeria should get it right this time by electing a president who will genuinely put the country on the path of progress.

“Mere looking at me you would see that I am a made man and have everything money can offer, yet I still feel empty because what happens if something happens to me today and I die or become incapacitated? What happens to my children?” How would they be able to survive in this rapidly shrinking and uncertain economy?

What progress have we made in the North over the years? Our children are on the streets seeking alms when they should be in school, the economy is stalling, and insecurity is becoming more than worrisome. Worse, merit no longer matters; we must reverse this narrative and really pursue the best.

We can’t keep waiting for our turn before the evil touches us, we can’t go to the Mosque to worship, we can’t go to the Church, we can’t travel by road, we can’t travel by rail, and we might have been unable to communicate if it weren’t for the phone that the white men invented.

Even with my presence in Nigeria, the country remains challenging; how much worse will it be after my death? What kind of country do we want to leave for our children? I acquired my job in the 1980s through newspaper advertisements; I didn’t know anyone at the multinational corporation where I worked; I found it on the pages of the newspaper.

As fathers, can we say we can die peacefully and be confident that our children would survive the current crisis in Nigeria?

Obi will definitely make our educational system work again, he will bring the economy back to life, he will revamp our health sector, he will revive the power sector, to be honest, Peter Obi is the right man for the job, please vote for Obi for the sake of our children so that tomorrow  they can be proud of their country.

Shehu Usman went on to say that Obi’s candidacy is ordained, and that this time around, Nigerians across the federation have begun to see the reality that yes, a just man can become the next president. He also referred to Obi as the coming messiah, saying he would do everything humanly possible to support his cause.
