Phyna Opens Up: “I Regret Using My BBNaija Prize Money To Support Family Members

The reality star, whose real name is Josephina Otabor, made this known during a recent livestream, where she reflected on the financial decisions she made after leaving the BBNaija house. She admitted that at the time, she was young, inexperienced, and lacked proper financial guidance on how to manage her sudden wealth.

Phyna explained that instead of receiving advice on investment or long-term financial planning, she was frequently approached by family members with various financial requests. She noted that she spent heavily on assisting relatives, including settling debts and providing other forms of support, believing she was doing the right thing.

However, she alleged that the situation became strained when she began to decline some of the requests, stating that certain family members reacted negatively and even criticized her publicly whenever she was unable to meet their demands.

She further lamented that there was little or no guidance from older relatives on how to secure her financial future, adding that she is now left to face the consequences alone after the funds were exhausted.
