“These were the glorious days of Adams Oshomhole as governor of Edo State. Go back to Edo State now and see what this same park and it’s environs look like, an eyesore, under the present government of Obaseki and PDP.
Those who were shouting ‘Edo no be Lagos’, where are you now? Water don pass garri…. That serves you Right!!!!”
When Oshiomhole paid a condolence call to the family of the recently departed Mama Ugbowo, a resident from Upper Lawani could be heard yelling, “Oshiomhole we miss you,” “na you do our road, we love you.”
Another resident who attended the then-New Era College shared her story of how she and other students saw Adams Oshiomhole on an inspection tour near their school and went to meet the governor, pleading with him to rebuild the New Era College like the other schools Oshiomhole was busy constructing and renovating across the state.
Oshiomhole began the project right in front of these students’ eyes, and the school was renamed Dr. Samuel Osaigbovo Ogbemudia College after it was rebuilt, and Buhari commissioned it.
Moving through many communities in Edo Central and Edo North, you can see a lot of indigenes building fantastic houses similar to the ones we see on Lagos Island, thanks to the quality roads made possible by Adams Oshiomhole’s administration.
You should stay away from anyone who claims that doing nice deeds doesn’t pay. The only thing we have to leave behind is good acts. Be good.
